| £8Ryan Tomlin is a poet and street-performer based in Leeds. Having spent two years selling his poems on the streets, both as his job and a way of getting his name out there, he eventually turned to poetry performance; he has performed at Farsley Festival, Yorkshire Day, and An Evening of Authors for Men’s Mental Health. He has also been featured on the EPOCH documentary series PEOPLE, as well as Made in Leeds TV, BBC Yorkshire, BBC Two’s Politics Live and the I Hate Poetry Podcast. Ryan’s unique delivery style is what caught our eye and will, we are sure entertain our festival audience.
Writer and poet Tony Peek worked as an English teacher for 15 years. Then, having been asked to speak about his poetry at one of his children’s Primary schools, he found his calling in life. He resigned from teaching and began working full time as a poet and poetry workshop provider. His style swings from romantic to edgy & comedic in the blink of a line of iambic pentameter? As well as performing at this years festival, Tony will also be running the writers workshops for the festival book: “Tales of a Dales Pandemic”
